Cooling for the way Santa Clara lives and works.
Homes, home offices and businesses around Rivermark and beyond — heating and air conditioning sized for the people and the machines inside.
For homes
Townhomes, condos and single-family houses — many with upstairs rooms that run warm and systems that were sized for an empty house.
- Repairs with a written price first
- Heat pumps and high-efficiency replacements
- Ductless for bonus rooms and upstairs bedrooms
- Seasonal maintenance
For offices and businesses
Offices, labs, shops and restaurants in Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and North San Jose — where a room full of people and screens needs more cooling than the floor plan suggests.
- Rooftop and split systems
- Cooling for server and network rooms
- Planned maintenance with unit records
- Tenant improvement HVAC
Why is the office the hottest room in the house?
Every watt your computer, screens and lights use ends up as heat in the room — and so does the heat from you. Add them up and a small spare bedroom gains about as much heat as two or three old 100-watt bulbs left on all day.
Example: laptop + 2 monitors + you≈ 775 Btu/h
Before you call
Is Carter a painting company?
No. Brush Studio is part of our name. We work only on heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Why is my upstairs so much warmer?
Heat rises, the roof takes the afternoon sun and returns are often downstairs. We measure airflow room by room before suggesting a fix.
Can you cool just my home office?
Often, yes. A small ductless unit or better airflow to that one room can work without over-cooling the rest of the house.
Do you work on offices and server rooms?
Yes. Rooftop units, dedicated cooling for network rooms, controls, tenant improvements and planned maintenance.
Will I see a price before work starts?
Yes. Repairs are priced in writing after diagnosis, and replacements are proposed in writing.
